Sponsorship Plaque

Today, members of the Rotary Club of Ashburton Plains had the privilege of visiting Rānui Apartments in Christchurch for a very special celebration—the sponsorship of an apartment.

President Wim Melchers, accompanied by several of our club members, made the trip from Ashburton to take part in this meaningful occasion. We were deeply moved to see how warmly we were welcomed, and it was an honour to share with the Rānui team the heartfelt reasons behind our decision to support their mission. Our commitment was inspired after a visit from team member Jodie, whose story and connection to the work at Rānui left a strong impression on our club.

We are grateful for the opportunity to spend time with the Rānui team and to witness firsthand the positive impact the apartments have on families in need. Following the room opening ceremony, we enjoyed a lovely morning tea and took time to reflect on the difference this sponsorship will make for every family who will stay in apartment G04.

It is our privilege to support the incredible work being done at Rānui, and we extend our sincere thanks for allowing us to be part of this meaningful journey.
