A lot to catch up on.
On the 21st August we had Rotary District Governor Dave McKissock and his lovely wife Margaret visit our club. Dave gave us an energetic and inspiring talk about the Magic of Rotary and how it is changing and improving lives throughout the world.
Owen Moore hosted the club for a visit to the Ashburton Aviation Museum. Owen told us about the new extension they are planning and showed us the extensive diplay of aircraft. At the end of the tour Club members Wim Melchers (President) and Fraser Bailey presented Owen with a donation of $1,000 . Picture from left Wim Melchers, Owen Moore and Fraser Bailey.
The final for the Year 5 & 6 category for the Primary Schools speech competition was held on Wednesday 4 September.
The programme is to develop individuals at the Year 5 & 6 level to become confident and eloquent speakers.
