Rotary Friendship Exchange Croatia visitors
Rotary Friendship exchange with 8 visitors and therir partners from Croatia. The evening will be hosted by the Ashburton Rotary Club.
NATALIJA & MIROSLAV PLAŠĆAR Natalija (52) was born in Split. After she graduated from High school she moved to Zagreb to study law. She graduated Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb in 1994. In 1995 she started working in the Croatian State Pension Fund where she spent the most of her carrier. She is currently managing the Central legal department of the Fund. In her free time, she dances Salsa and enjoys reading books. Miroslav (51) was born in Zagreb. In 1997 he joined Žurić & Partneri, a leading Croatian Law Company where he passed through all the phases of growing as a lawyer to partner, and to a managing partner. During his career he attended the practice in a London City international Law Firm and worked on many international M&A, project finance, banking and real estate projects. He is among founders of the Rotary Klub Zagreb International. He spends most of his free time participating in various sports activities among which basketball and skiing at the most. They have two sons, Sven (21) and Bruno (17). Sven is studying law in Zagreb and Bruno is in the third class of the high school |
BORKA BOBOVEC Borka is a member of Rotary since 2013. She is the RY 2018/19 president of the RC Zagreb Sesvete and works with Rotaract. She has a son (Dino, 28), who is a member of Rotaract. He is MD. He participated in Rotary youth exchange to Canada and many other European countries. He enjoys sports and travelling. Borka is an architect, Ph.D. in Technical Sciences, and she is the Director of Croatian Museum of Architecture. She also teaches at University of Zagreb, as an Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture and she is a visiting lecturer at Faculty of Architecture. For ten years she was President of the international professional association Europan Croatia. Borka is DGNB Consultant and author of four books about contemporary architecture and urbanism. She likes travelling, skiing and reading. |
